Privacy Policy

Zofi is an offline-first AI assistant. All inference runs locally on your Android device using on-device language models. No conversation content, no prompts, and no personal data is ever transmitted to Zofi’s servers or any third party. We collect no analytics, no telemetry, and require no account.

We collect nothing.

The Zofi app does not collect, process, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

• No conversation content or prompts
• No device identifiers
• No usage statistics or analytics
• No crash reports sent externally
• No advertising identifiers

Zofi stores the following data exclusively on your device, in the app’s private storage:

• Conversation history (local SQLite database, encrypted)
• Semantic memory (opt-in; locally extracted facts, encrypted)
• Downloaded model files (GGUF format)
• App preferences and settings

None of this data leaves your device. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all local data.

The app requests network access only for the following purposes:

• Downloading AI model files from HuggingFace (one-time, on user request)
• Fetching the remote model catalog (optional, off by default; list of available models)
• Web search (optional, off by default): if you enable the web-search tool, the queries the assistant makes are sent to DuckDuckGo to fetch results

Unless you turn on the optional web-search tool, the app makes zero network requests during AI inference, and it works fully in airplane mode once a model is downloaded.

Zofi does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. Model files are downloaded from HuggingFace, which has its own privacy policy. We have no control over HuggingFace’s practices during the download.

If you enable the optional web-search tool, search queries are sent to DuckDuckGo, which has its own privacy policy. This feature is off by default; leave it off to stay fully offline.

Zofi is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

If this policy changes materially, we will update the “Last updated” date above and note the change in the app’s changelog. The current version is always available at zofiai.app/privacy.
